Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. butter
    1 c. light corn syrup
    2 c. raw peanuts
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine sugar, syrup and water.
    Cook slowly in a large pot to\tsoft ball (230\u00b0).
    Add peanuts and salt; cook to hard crack (310\u00b0), stirring constantly.
    Add butter and soda.\tStir to
    blend (will
    bubble up).
    Add vanilla; pour onto buttered cookie sheet. Pull out with a spoon or spatula.\tCool.
    Break apart.
    Store in an airtight container.
