Ingredients

2 c. persimmons, rubbed through colander
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. sweet milk
1/2 c. butter
1 tsp. cinnamon
3 eggs
flour (enough to make as stiff as cake dough (2 c. or more)
Preparation

Use self-rising flour and omit the baking powder, if so desired.
Mix
all\tingredients
together;\tmix well.
Bake in 350\u00b0 oven in
an

2-inch
pan or a loaf pan for 50 minutes.
It
will\trise,
but will fall as it is removed from the oven.
It will be waxy.
