Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

2 c. plain corn meal
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. soda
1 egg, beaten
1/2 c. buttermilk
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. chopped onion

Preparation

Sift dry ingredients into a bowl. Add egg, water and milk. Mix well. Drop by tablespoonfuls into hot fat.
Fry until brown.
