Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    1/4 c. margarine
    1/3 c. flour
    6 c. water
    3 tsp. chicken bouillon
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    1 (10 oz.) pkg. chopped broccoli, thawed
    1 c. milk
    1 c. half and half
    8 oz. American cheese, cut up
Preparation
    Saute onion in margarine until tender.
    Reduce heat to medium. Stir in flour until completely blended.
    Add water, bouillon, garlic and pepper.
    Stir well.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat to low and add broccoli and milk.
    Simmer for 10 minutes.
    Stir in half and half.
    Add cheese.
