Bren'S Raisin Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 box raisins
    1 Tbsp. Crisco
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1 egg
    2 1/2 c. flour
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    1 Tbsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
Preparation
    Cook raisins in water for 15 minutes.
    Drain and reserve one cup liquid.
    Let raisins cool.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Add eggs and raisins.
    Mix all ingredients together.
    Add vanilla and reserved liquid.
