Ingredients

3 c. milk
3 eggs
3/4 c. sugar
2 Tbsp. sugar
1/4 c. cornstarch
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. butter
Preparation

Scald milk.
In a bowl mix 3 egg yolks, sugar, cornstarch, vanilla and butter.
Mix until smooth.
Add to scalded milk and stir till it comes to a boil.
Remove from heat.
Pour into a baked pie shell.
Whip egg whites till stiff.
Pour over pie mixture and sprinkle with coconut.
Bake for 5 to 7 minutes until brown.
