Ingredients

3 c. all-purpose flour
1 c. butter or 1/2 c. butter and 1/2 c. margarine
1 c. fresh grated coconut
1 c. coconut milk
4 well beaten egg yolks
3 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
1 lb. confectioners sugar
4 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation

Sift flour with baking powder and salt 3 times.
Cream butter and sugar thoroughly until light and fluffy.
Add egg yolks and beat well.
Add flour and coconut milk alternately, a small amount at a time, beating after each addition until smooth.
Add vanilla and coconut.
Fold in egg whites that have been beaten.
Bake in 3 large cake pans at 350\u00b0 for about 30 to 35 minutes.
Spread with Seven Minute Icing; sprinkle with fresh grated coconut.
