Punch Bowl Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 yellow cake layers
    2 small pkg. instant vanilla pudding mix
    1 large can cherry pie filling
    2 pkg. (6 oz.) frozen coconut
    1 large can fruit cocktail
    1 large can crushed pineapple
    2 (8 oz.) cartons Cool Whip
    1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Cool cake layers completely.
    Prepare pudding mix and refrigerate.
    Place 1 layer cake in bottom of punch bowl (6-quart size).
    Add 1/2 of ingredients.
    Add other cake layer and remaining ingredients.
    Garnish with coconut, pecans and cherries. Serves 35.
