Apple Fritters - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. flour
    2 tsp. baking powder
    ??? tsp. salt
    1 1/2 c. cornmeal
    1/2 c. apple, chopped
    3/4 c. milk
    3 eggs, beaten
    cooking oil
Preparation
    In a large mixing bowl, sift dry ingredients together.
    Add apple.
    Stir in milk and eggs.
    Put skillet over high heat and add oil to a depth of 1-inch.
    Drop batter by teaspoon into hot oil and fry until golden brown (about 2 to 3 minutes).
    Remove and drain. Repeat cooking step until all batter is used.
    Serve with syrup.
