Shrimp Etouffee - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. raw shrimp, peeled
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. finely chopped onion
1/4 c. finely chopped celery, with some leaves
1/4 c. finely chopped green onions
1/4 c. finely chopped fresh parsley
1 Tbsp. Creole seasoning
Preparation

Melt butter in a heavy skillet.
Cook onion and celery over medium heat until translucent, about 20 minutes.
Add green onions and parsley.
Cook 10 minutes.
Stir in Creole seasoning.
Add shrimp and cook, covered, stirring 3 or 4 times, until just done, about 5 minutes.
Serve over white rice.
Serves 3 to 4.
