Grandma'S Strawberry Shortcake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. flour
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 c. lard
    1 egg, beaten in cup, then fill cup with milk
Preparation
    Put baking powder in flour; add sugar, salt and lard.
    Rub up fine.
    Stir in the milk and egg.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 30 to 35 minutes.
    To make large cake, double recipe.
    Don't use mixer; mix by hand.
