Half-A-Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. butter or margarine, softened
    1/4 c. shortening
    3 eggs
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. cake flour
    1/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 c. milk
Preparation
    Cream butter and shortening until light; add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
    Add vanilla; combine cake flour and baking powder; add to cream mixture.
    Add milk and beat 5 minutes; pour batter into greased and floured 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
