Vidalia Onion Dip - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 to 6 Vidalia onions
    1 c. sugar
    1/2 c. white vinegar
    2 c. water
    1/2 c. margarine
    1 tsp. celery salt
Preparation
    Slice onions thin and soak for 2 to 4 hours in sugar, vinegar and water.
    Drain well.
    Toss with mayonnaise and celery salt. Serve on saltine crackers, hot dogs or hamburgers.
