Chicken Stew And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 chicken, cut up
    1/4 c. cooking oil
    1/4 c. flour
    1 large onion, chopped
    1 c. green onions, chopped and divided
    1/2 c. chopped parsley, divided
    1 c. chopped celery with leaves, divided
    1 carrot, coarsely grated
    1/2 bell pepper, chopped
    2 to 3 garlic cloves, chopped
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Wash chicken and cut as for frying.
    Discard any large gobs of fat; remove all of skin.
    Dry well on paper towels.
