Turnip Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. white turnips, peeled and diced
    1 tsp. salt
    3/4 c. half and half
    1/8 c. sugar
    1/2 stick margarine
    1/4 c. Ritz cracker crumbs
Preparation
    Put prepared turnips in a pot with water to cover and the salt.
    Cook until well done, about 1/2 hour.
    Drain well.
    Mash. Add milk, sugar and butter; continue mixing.
    Pour into buttered, oven-proof casserole.
    Top with cracker crumbs.
    Bake at 300\u00b0 for 45 minutes or until browned on top.
    Serves 8.
