Choco Pink Cuplets - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 1/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. shortening
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
1 Tbsp. cocoa
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 c. cold water
1 c. chocolate chips
1/2 c. nuts
powdered sugar

Preparation

Cream together sugar, shortening, vanilla and eggs, beating after each egg.
Sift together flour, cocoa and salt.
Set aside. Combine baking soda and water.
Add flour and water mixtures alternately to creamed butter and sugar.
Mix well.
