Gingerbread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 eggs
    3/4 c. brown sugar
    3/4 c. molasses
    3/4 c. melted shortening
    2 1/4 c. self-rising flour
    1 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 c. hot water
Preparation
    Add beaten eggs to sugar, molasses and melted shortening.
    Add flour, sifted with other dry ingredients. Add hot water last. Bake in greased and floured pan at 350\u00b0. Serve with Cool Whip if desired.
