Strawberry Frost - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pt. ripe strawberries
    1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. cold milk
    1/4 c. cream
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1/8 tsp. salt
    vanilla ice cream
Preparation
    Crush strawberries; add sugar and 1 cup of milk.
    Beat until creamy.
    Gradually add remaining ingredients except ice cream, beating well.
    Put 1 or 2 scoops ice cream into each chilled glass.
    Fill with strawberry mixture.
    If desired, garnish with strawberries.
    Makes 5 cups.
