Coconut Pecan Cake Filling And Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. Eagle brand condensed milk
    1/2 c. sugar
    3 egg yolks
    1/4 lb. butter or margarine
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. flaked coconut
    1 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Combine milk, sugar, egg yolks, butter or margarine and vanilla in a saucepan.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture thickens, about 12 minutes.
    Remove from heat.
    Add coconut and pecans.
    Beat until cool and of spreading consistency. Makes enough to cover tops of three 8 or 9-inch layers or about 2 2/3 cups frosting and filling.
