Italian Cream Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 stick butter
    1/2 c. Crisco
    2 c. sugar
    5 eggs, separated
    1 c. chopped pecans
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. flaked coconut
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Cream butter and Crisco.
    Add sugar.
    Add egg yolks, 1 at a time.
    Combine flour and soda, alternating with buttermilk.
    Stir in vanilla.
    Add coconut and pecans.
    Fold in by hand the beaten egg whites.
    Pour into three or four 9-inch cake pans, greased and floured.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
