German Apple Cake - cooking recipe

8 average sized apples, peeled and chunked small
2 c. sugar
1 1/3 sticks margarine melted
2 eggs
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. nutmeg
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Mix apples and sugar set aside.
Grease and flour an oblong cake pan.
Add margarine and eggs to apple mixture.
Mix in flour, baking powder, nutmeg, soda, and cinnamon. Pour into a pan (larger size the better).
Sprinkle top with a little table sugar and bake for 45 minutes, watching for it to turn dark golden brown.
