Orange Romaine Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. vegetable oil
3 Tbsp. sugar
3 Tbsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. salt
dash of hot sauce
6 c. torn romaine lettuce
5 c. torn iceberg lettuce
1 1/2 c. mandarin oranges, drained well
1/4 c. slivered almonds, toasted
1/4 c. sliced purple onions
1/2 c. cooked crumbled bacon
Preparation

Combine first 5 ingredients in a jar.
Cover tightly and shake well; set aside.
Combine next 5 ingredients in a large salad bowl.
Just before serving, pour dressing over lettuce mixture and toss gently.
Sprinkle salad with crumbled bacon.
Yield: 4 to 6 servings.
