Never Fail Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. sugar
    1 c. Crisco
    5 eggs
    1 c. milk
    3 c. plain flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. vanilla, lemon or butter nut flavoring
Preparation
    Beat sugar and Crisco until creamy.
    Add eggs and beat well one at a time.
    Add other ingredients and beat well.
    Bake at 325\u00b0 1 hour and 15 minutes.
    Do not open oven door for first hour while cake is cooking.
