Texas Hash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 large onions, chopped
    2 green peppers, chopped
    3 Tbsp. Crisco
    1 lb. lean, ground steak
    2 c. canned tomatoes (juice and all)
    1/2 c. rice (uncooked)
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. chili powder
    1/4 tsp. pepper
Preparation
    Cook onions and peppers slowly in Crisco until onions turn yellow.
    Add meat; saute until meat falls apart.
    Add tomatoes, rice and seasonings.
    Put in casserole.
    Cover and cook slowly for 45 minutes at 375\u00b0.
