Skillet Sticky Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 Tbsp. oil
    2 1/2 to 3 lb. broiler or fryer chicken, cut up
    1 pouch dry onion soup mix
    1/4 c. water
    1/2 c. apricot or peach preserves
    1/4 c. barbecue sauce or ketchup
Preparation
    In 10-inch skillet over medium heat in hot oil, cook chicken pieces until browned on all sides.
    Pour off fat.
