Molasses Pudding(It'S More Of A Cake) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 c. sifted flour
    1 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 Tbsp. cinnamon
    2 Tbsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. butter
    1 c. sugar
    4 eggs
    2 c. molasses (use sorghum or such as Brer Rabbit)
    1 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    To mix, sift flour once and measure.
    Add soda, baking powder, spices and salt.
    Sift together 3 times.
    Cream butter.
    Add sugar gradually and cream together until light and fluffy.
    Add well beaten eggs, then molasses.
    Add flour alternately with milk, a small amount at a time, beating after each addition until smooth. Bake in greased pan in moderately slow oven at 325\u00b0 for about 45 minutes, until done.
    Cut in squares.
    Good with a sauce (caramel or vanilla).
