Ice Cream - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 tsp. salt
    8 c. milk, scalded
    6 eggs, beaten
    1 Tbsp. vanilla
    1 large can evaporated milk
Preparation
    Blend sugar, flour and salt to scalded milk.
    Bring to a boil, stirring.
    Add small amount of hot milk to beaten eggs, stirring constantly.
    Then add remaining milk to egg mixture and cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until it begins to thicken and coat spoon.
    Remove from heat and add vanilla.
    Allow to cool.
    Add evaporated milk before freezing. Makes 1 gallon.
