Easy Fondant - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. margarine
    1/2 c. light Karo
    1 lb. powdered sugar
    1/8 tsp. flavoring oil
    coloring desired
Preparation
    In a 3-quart saucepan, heat margarine, syrup and 1/2 pound sugar over low heat until bubbly.
    Stir in remaining 1/2 pound sugar.
    Remove from heat.
    Stir until mixture holds shape.
    Turn into a greased pan.
    Cool until warm.
    Knead until smooth.
    Add flavoring and coloring.
    Shape into balls with lightly greased hands.
    Makes 1 1/3 pounds.
