Golden Potato Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 medium potatoes
    2 c. cheese
    1/3 c. chopped green onions
    2 c. sour cream (room temperature)
    1 stick butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. white pepper
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Cook potatoes in skin and cool, then peel and coarsely shred. In a saucepan over low heat, combine cheese and butter, stirring occasionally until melted.
    Remove from heat; blend in sour cream, onions, salt, pepper and then add potatoes, stirring lightly. Turn into buttered 2-quart casserole dish.
    Dot with 2 tablespoons of butter and bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 minutes.
