Deep Dish Peach Pie - cooking recipe

4 c. sliced fresh peaches
1/2 c. sugar
3 Tbsp. flour
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/8 tsp. salt
1 tsp. lemon juice
2 Tbsp. butter

Preparation

Place peaches in shallow baking dish, about 1 1/2-quart capacity.
Combine sugar, flour, cinnamon and salt.
Sprinkle over peaches.
Add lemon juice and dot with butter.
Cover with pastry, rolled thin, to fit the top.
Cut gashes in pastry for steam to escape.
Brush with milk.
Bake in hot oven at 400\u00b0 for 35 minutes or until peaches are tender.
