Country Fried Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 lb. ground chuck
4 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
3/4 c. plus 3 Tbsp. flour
3 Tbsp. oil
2 1/2 c. milk
Preparation

Combine meat, 1 tablespoon salt, pepper and 3/4 cup flour. Mix well.
Roll out with rolling pin about 1/2-inch thick.
Cut into 4 x 4-inch pieces.
Place in hot oil in skillet.
Cook until lightly brown.
Remove from skillet.
Add remaining flour and cook until browned.
Add milk and remaining salt and cook until thick. Pour the gravy over the steak.
Yields 5 servings.
