A.B.C. Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    1 c. brown sugar, packed
    2 eggs, beaten
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 to 1/2 c. coarsely chopped almonds with skins
    1/4 to 1/2 c. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Melt butter in saucepan.
    Stir in sugar.
    Bring to a boil. Turn off heat and cool for 5 to 10 minutes.
    Rapidly stir eggs, being careful not to cook them.
    Add vanilla.
    In a bowl, combine flour and baking powder.
    Stir into sugar and egg mixture.
    Pour batter into greased 8-inch square pan.
    Sprinkle with almonds and chocolate chips.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
