Cucumber Au Gratin - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 medium cucumbers, sliced
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1 bouillon cube
    1/4 tsp. onion, grated
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 c. grated cheese
    1/3 c. buttered bread crumbs
Preparation
    Cook cucumbers in just enough salted, boiling water to cover for 5 minutes; drain well.
    Melt butter in saucepan; add flour, stirring until blended.
    Add milk gradually; cook and stir until smooth.
    Add bouillon cube.
    Add onion; stir until dissolved. Season with salt and pepper.
    Add cheese; simmer, stirring constantly until melted.
    Add cucumbers; pour into greased small casserole.
    Top with bread crumbs.
    Bake in a 350\u00b0 oven for 20 minutes until brown.
