Pralines - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    1 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. white Karo syrup
    1/2 tsp. vanilla flavoring
    1/2 tsp. soda
    2 c. chopped nuts
    2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation
    Combine ingredients. Cook in large container until it forms a soft ball when tested in cold water. You may use candy thermometer if preferred. Beat until creamy. Add nuts. Drop by spoonfuls on waxed paper. You need to do this quickly because ingredients dry and stiffen quickly.
