Jam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. brown sugar
    1 c. shortening (Crisco)
    4 c. flour (plain)
    2 c. jam
    1 c. buttermilk
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    2 tsp. allspice
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    2 tsp. soda
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1 c. chopped nuts
    1 c. raisins
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs.
    Sift flour and spices together.
    Add soda and buttermilk, then raisins and nuts.
    Mix well.
    Bake in moderate oven about 325\u00b0 until done in 2 (9-inch) cake pans.
