Wilson'S Family Special - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 chicken, cut up (skin removed if desired)
    2 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen peas and carrots, thawed
    2 c. regular rice
    1 (4 oz.) jar sliced mushrooms
    2 envelopes onion soup mix
    2 c. milk
    2 cans cream of mushroom soup
    paprika
Preparation
    In bowl, stir together the mushroom soup, milk, dry onion soup mix and undrained mushrooms.
    Reserve 3/4 cup of the soup mixture and set aside.
    Stir in uncooked rice and thawed vegetables into remaining soup mixture.
    Turn rice mixture into a 9 x 13-inch baking dish.
    Arrange chicken pieces atop.
    Pour reserved soup mixture over chicken.
    Sprinkle chicken with paprika.
    Cover tightly with foil.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 until rice is tender, 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours.
