Cabbage Rolls - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 large cabbage leaves
    1 lb. ground beef
    1/2 c. cracker crumbs
    minced onions to taste
    1/2 c. rice
    1 green pepper, chopped
    1 egg, beaten
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 can tomato sauce
    1 can tomatoes
    2 tsp. sugar
    1 tsp. thyme and oregano
    garlic powder to taste
Preparation
    Boil cabbage leaves in water to cover in saucepan until tender; drain and set aside.
    Combine the next 7 ingredients in bowl with enough tomato sauce to moisten; mix well.
    Roll meat mixture in cabbage leaves.
    Place in baking dish.
    Combine remaining ingredients in saucepan; simmer for 5 minutes.
    Pour over cabbage rolls.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 hour.
