Ingredients

1 (16 oz.) can sliced beets
1/4 c. sugar (or the equivalent in sugar substitute)
3 Tbsp. vinegar
1/4 tsp. allspice
1/8 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Drain the beets, reserving the juice.
Combine the juice, sugar, vinegar, and spices in a small saucepan.
Heat until sugar dissolves.
Remove from heat and add beets.
Refrigerate for flavors to blend.
Makes about 4 fat free servings.
