Apple Crumb Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. soft butter or margarine
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
pinch of salt
5 c. sliced tart apples
3 Tbsp. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Mix together the flour, sugar and salt.
Cut in the butter. Set aside 3/4 cup of this crumbly mixture.
Press the remainder of this mixture into a 9-inch pie pan.
Combine the apples, 3 tablespoons flour, 1 cup sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Arrange in the pie shell.
Bake at 425\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
Then sprinkle with the reserved crumbs and continue to bake for 20 to 30 minutes longer until browned.
