Scottish Scones - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    2 Tbsp. sugar (heaping)
    2 Tbsp. butter or bacon fat
    1 egg, beaten
    buttermilk
Preparation
    Mix dry ingredients and butter (or bacon fat) until crumbly. Add beaten egg and enough buttermilk to make gooey biscuit dough. Pat 1/2-inch thick on well floured board; cut with knife or biscuit cutter.
    Cook on low on heated griddle; turn when slightly browned.
    Or bake on cookie sheet at 350\u00b0 until light brown. Clean pan between bakings.
