Pastry For Double Crust Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    3/4 tsp. salt
    2/3 c. shortening
    6 to 7 Tbsp. cold water
Preparation
    In a bowl, combine flour and salt. Cut in shortening until crumbly. Gradually add water, tossing with a fork until dough forms a ball. Divide dough in half. Roll out 1/2 to fit 9 or 10-inch pie plate. Transfer to pie plate. Trim even with edges. Fill with desired filling. Roll out second 1/2 and place over filling. Cut slits in top of pastry. Trim to an inch past edge of pie plate. Fold over bottom crust. Flute edges. Bake in oven according to your recipe directions.
