Mari'S Green And Gold Sauerkraut Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 large can crunchy sauerkraut (1 lb. 12 oz.)
    1/4 c. sliced green onions (including some of the tops)
    1/2 c. finely shredded carrot
    1/2 c. each diced celery and green pepper
    1/4 c. white wine vinegar
    2/3 c. sugar
    1/4 c. vegetable oil
    1/4 c. water
Preparation
    Thoroughly rinse the sauerkraut with warm water.
    Drain.
    Mix with onions, celery, carrot and green pepper.
    In a saucepan, mix the vinegar, oil, sugar and water.
    Heat until sugar is dissolved. Pour while still warm over sauerkraut mixture and mix well.
    Cover and chill 6 to 8 hours or overnight.
