Red Cabbage With Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. margarine
    1 c. chopped onion
    8 c. (about 1 3/4 lb.) shredded red cabbage
    3 c. unpeeled diced apples
    1 to 1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. caraway seed
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/3 c. brown sugar
    1/2 c. cider vinegar
    1/2 c. water
Preparation
    Melt margarine in large skillet.
    Add onion; saute until tender.
    Stir in cabbage, apple, salt, caraway seed, pepper, brown sugar, vinegar and water.
    Cover and simmer 50 to 60 minutes, or until cabbage is tender and flavors are well blended.
    Makes 6 servings.
