Apple Cake Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 large apples
    3/4 c. sugar
    1 tsp. lemon juice
    1/4 c. butter
    1 egg, beaten
    1/2 c. flour
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    1/8 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Slice apples thin.
    Place in well buttered 10-inch pie plate. Cover with 1/4 cup sugar.
    Cream butter and rest of sugar (1/2 cup) and beaten egg.
    Sift dry ingredients together.
    Add to creamed mixture.
    Spread over apples.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 minutes.
