Pork Roast With Glazed Sweet Potatoes - cooking recipe

1 (4 to 5 lb.) pork shoulder roast (fresh Boston butt)
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 c. margarine
1/2 c. maple blended syrup
1/8 tsp. nutmeg
2 Tbsp. water
1/2 tsp. pepper
2 lb. sweet potatoes, peeled and quartered
1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/8 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. cornstarch
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0. Sprinkle roast with salt, pepper and cinnamon. Rub into meat. Place roast on rack in baking oven, fat side up. Bake about 3 to 3 1/2 hours. Allow 25 minutes per pound. Place potatoes around roast and continue baking, spooning off fat.
