Potato Doughnuts - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. hot mashed potatoes
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    2 c. buttermilk
    2 eggs, lightly beaten
    2 Tbsp. butter
    2 tsp. baking soda
    2 tsp. baking powder
    1 tsp. salt
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    6 1/2 to 7 c. all-purpose flour
    cooking oil
Preparation
    Combine in a bowl the first 4 ingredients.
    Stir into mixture the butter, soda, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and flour to form a soft ball.
    On a floured surface, pat dough to 3/4-inch thickness. Cut with a 2 1/2-inch floured doughnut cutter.
    In electric skillet, heat 1 inch of oil to 350\u00b0.
    Fry 2 minutes per side.
    Dip tops into frosting or coat with sugar.
