Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 qt. popcorn (3 bags microwave)
    2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 c. butter
    1/2 c. corn syrup
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 tsp. vanilla extract
    1 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Spread popped corn on baking sheet; set aside.
    In a large saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter and corn syrup.
    Boil 5 minutes and remove from heat.
    Add baking soda, vanilla and salt. Stir thoroughly; mixture will foam.
    Pour over popped corn and mix around well.
    Spread out as much as possible.
    Bake at 250\u00b0 for 40 minutes.
    Stir every 15 minutes.
    Cool.
    Makes 5 quarts.
