Angel Biscuits No. 1 - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/3 c. sugar
    1 tsp. baking soda
    1 c. shortening
    2 pkg. active yeast
    2 c. buttermilk
Preparation
    Preheat
    oven
    to
    450\u00b0.
    Dissolve
    yeast
    in
    lukewarm water. Sift
    flour,
    sugar,
    salt
    and soda together.
    Cut in shortening.
    Add
    buttermilk and dissolved yeast.
    Knead well, using more flour if dough is too sticky.
    Dough may be covered and kept
    in
    refrigerator
    for a week or may be rolled out at once, cut into biscuits and baked.
    No need to let rise before baking. Bake 10 to 12 minutes.
