French Fried Onion Rings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 to 4 large onions
    1 egg yolk, slightly beaten
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 1/2 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. melted Crisco
    Crisco for frying
Preparation
    Clean onions; cut into 1/4-inch slices and separate into rings.
    Combine slightly beaten egg yolk and milk.
    Add flour, salt and 1 tablespoon melted Crisco.
    Mix until smooth.
    Dip onion rings in batter.
    Fry in 3/4 inch Crisco heated to 375\u00b0 in an electric skillet.
    Cook until lightly browned.
    Drain on paper towel.
    Serve hot.
