Gingerbread Waffles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. molasses
    1/2 c. butter or oleo
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 c. sour milk
    1 egg, beaten
    2 c. flour
    2 tsp. ginger
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Bring molasses and oleo to a boil in a large kettle.
    Remove from fire.
    Beat in soda, sour milk and egg.
    Add flour, ginger and salt.
    Bake about 2 minutes on hot waffle iron.
    Serve hot with whipped cream topped with cherry.
    Makes 4 large waffles. Delicious.
